BSS St Helens Host Community Tournament |

BSS St Helens Head Coach Ray Owen did some excellent work for his local community by organising a local junior football tournament in conjunction with a housing association called Riverside. Riverside funded the operation which took place during the Easter holidays with the aim of tackling anti-social behaviour in children and young people. Tanya Marsh, of Riverside Housing said: “As the world’s most popular game, football has always been a powerful way of bringing together people from different backgrounds to play, watch and enjoy the game". Merseyside Police Community Support Officer Ian Hinton said: “This was a great opportunity for the police and its partners to engage with the local children and young adults of the area in the beautiful game".
